Tara Stiles trained with Paul Taylor Dance Company choreographer and dancer Eileen Cropley, and began her yoga study in the 1990s with her ballet teacher, Rory Foster of American Ballet Theater. She created Strala Yoga by drawing on her background in classical ballet and choreography, as well as her long-time personal practice in yoga.
The science and movement of Strala is also guided by Mike Taylor. Mike studied mind-body medicine at Harvard, and complementary medicine at Oxford. He has practiced Eastern movement and healing, including tai chi and qi gong, for 30 years.
All Strala classes move slowly and continuously, guided with deep breath and easygoing movement from your middle. All classes have long-time practicers next to relative beginners, and everybody gets to move easily from right where they are. You’ll get strong, let stress go, and accomplish tremendous challenges with ease. You’ll also feel free, creative and intuitive, and get healthy and happy from the inside out!

Lesley Fightmaster (yes…that’s really is her last name) used to have a head that would never shut up! She felt anxious and uncomfortable. She stressed about the future and regretted the past. She was wound so tightly, took herself way too seriously and carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. Morning yoga taught her to breathe, to connect and to find space. Her intention is to help you quiet your mind and get comfortable in your own skin. Let go of the past and the future and get present on your mat. If you’re having a rough day, find some relief here. If you’re beating yourself up, roll out your mat, push play and know that everything’s going to be alright. Her yoga videos will help you to laugh more and stress less.
