What is Satyananda Yoga?
Satyananda Yoga is suitable for beginners and advanced yogis alike, as this type of yoga is gentler than others, such as Power Yoga. As the focus is on the mind and spirit rather than purely the physical, students are encouraged to learn about all aspects of their personality and Self, through self-discovery.

Founded by Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati in 1964, Satyananda Yoga, also known as Bihar Yoga, seeks to unite ancient yogic teachings and practices with modern science. Its teachings consist of a systematic approach: yoga poses for the physical body, breathing exercises for the energy body, and meditation to still the mind. This type of yoga uses a whole person, whole-life approach and encourages the practitioner to embrace Jnana, Bhakti and Karma Yoga as paths to spiritual growth.
