What is Pre-Natal Yoga?

Research suggests that Pre-Natal Yoga can improve sleep, reduce stress and anxiety and increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles used within childbirth. This type of yoga can also decrease lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath.

There are many different approaches to practicing yoga during pregnancy. Most teachers of Pre-Natal Yoga will focus on relaxation and breathing techniques, but there are classes which include yoga poses to aid the healthy development of the baby as well as preparing the mother for the birth.
