What is Power Yoga?



Power Yoga is a type of yoga that is suitable for people of all fitness levels - It doesn’t matter how flexible, fit or old you are. This is because Power Yoga is about loving the body you’ve been given, through breath-synchronised movements which encourage bodily awareness and gratitude. 


Bryan Kest and Beryl Bender Birch Power both use the term 'Power Yoga' to describe their style of yoga - a pulse raising practice based on Ashtanga, with the same focus on developing strength and flexibility. Others have followed, also using the term ‘Power Yoga’ to describe a dynamic practice that's more varied in content than Ashtanga, and that doesn't follow any set routine.
