What is ISHTA Yoga?

ISHTA Yoga is an acronym, which stands for Integrated Sciences of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda. This type of yoga focuses on the individual, emphasising the mind and spirit of the self to create a renewed sense of confidence and comfort in oneself.

Created in the late sixties by Kavi Yogi Swarananda Mani Finger and his son Alan, this school teaches its students to find balance through the combined physical practices of Hatha Yoga, the meditative and philosophical approaches of Tantra, and the body-awareness and healing properties of Ayurveda.
