What is the Himalayan Yoga Tradition?
The Himalayan Tradition of Yoga combines the wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras with teachings passed down from a long history of yoga masters, into a practice which aims to purify the whole being.

Founded by Swami Rama, now led by his disciple Swami Veda Bharati, The Himalayan Yoga Tradition is a meditative approach, awakening students to their true nature. This type of yoga uses a systemic approach, drawing on a wide range of meditative traditions including Vipassana and Transcendental Meditation, teaching that they are interconnected. Students learn how to sit, how to breathe, how to use mantra and how to focus the mind.
