What is Aerial Yoga?  

 

Aerial Yoga helps achieve correct postural alignment using large slings which suspend the student off the floor - think hammock. This type of yoga relieves pressure on the body and is a relaxed practice. 

It allows the student to hold postures for longer as well as assisting with advanced inversions. Suitable for people with decreased joint mobility as pressure is relieved. It can also help to decompress the spine. 

Aerial Yoga offers many of the same benefits of regular yoga, but it also helps to create a greater flexibility, since you have more free movement than in other types of yoga, so can move your body into a larger variety of positions.
